The Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups (GENESIS) initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is designed to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem across Tier-II and Tier-III cities. With a total outlay of INR 490 Crore over 5 years, the program aims to identify, support and scale technology-driven startups while fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship across emerging regions.
In October 2024, Atal Incubation Centre - BIMTECH was selected by the MeitY Startup Hub as one of the implementing agencies for the prestigious GENESIS Programme. Under this initiative, AIC-BIMTECH has been entrusted with facilitating financial assistance of up to INR 40 Lakhs per startup to support innovation, pilot implementation and startup scale-up.
The GENESIS Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) program supports aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage founders in validating startup ideas and building scalable ventures. The initiative is focused on nurturing innovation and encouraging entrepreneurship in Tier-II and Tier-III cities through structured incubation, mentorship and capacity-building support.
The program enables entrepreneurs to transform innovative concepts into viable businesses with access to startup infrastructure, expert guidance and ecosystem networks.
