Financial assistance is disbursed as a milestone-linked grant to ensure disciplined progress and maximum technological output:
Eligibility & Target Domains
Review the baseline criteria established under MeitY guidelines before submitting your proposal.
Who Can Apply?
- Indian Citizenship: The applicant must be an Indian citizen, including innovators, researchers, students, and early-stage founders.
- Early Stage Readiness (TRL 1–4): Idea or concept must be at Technology Readiness Level 1 to 4 with an explicit plan to advance to functional prototype.
- Tier-II / Tier-III City Location: Innovators or registered startups must be operating in or originating from Tier-II or Tier-III locations.
- Startup Age < 2 Years: If legally incorporated, the startup must be less than two years old from the date of application.
- Funding Threshold: The applicant or startup must NOT have received financial assistance exceeding ₹10 Lakhs from any State or Central Government scheme for the same innovation.

Backed by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), AIC-BIMTECH provides the institutional credibility, technical rigor, and commercial ecosystem required to succeed.
Important Guidelines & Evaluation Process
Screening & Evaluation Committee
Applications undergo rigorous due diligence by an expert Screening Committee comprising technical specialists, industry veterans, and MeitY Startup Hub nominees.
Incubator Allocation
Applicants select Preference 1 and Preference 2 from the empanelled GENESIS incubators. Final allocation is governed by domain fit, incubator capacity, and evaluation scores.
Milestone-Based Releases
Grant installments are mapped to objective technical deliverables, prototype demos, and quarterly review presentations.
Follow-On Progression
Graduating EIR startups become prime contenders for the GENESIS Matching Fund and other national seed grants administered at AIC-BIMTECH.
