About the Program
GENESIS EIR (Gen-Engineered Innovation for Startups & Entrepreneurs – Entrepreneur in Residence) is a MeitY Startup Hub initiative supporting early-stage innovators and entrepreneurs working in Electronics, IT, ICT and DeepTech.
The program focuses on helping innovators transform promising ideas and early-stage technologies into prototypes, products and scalable startups.
💰 Funding Support
Selected innovators receive financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh to support the development and validation of their proposed innovation, subject to the applicable program guidelines and selection process.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen and may be an entrepreneur, innovator, researcher, student, or founder/co-founder of an early-stage startup.
- The proposed innovation should be in emerging Electronics, IT, or DeepTech domains (AI/ML, IoT, Semiconductor/VLSI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Quantum Technologies, AR/VR, etc.) and be at TRL 1–4.
- The startup should be based in a Tier-II or Tier-III city and, if incorporated, should be less than two years old.
- The startup must not have received more than ₹10 lakh in financial assistance from any Central or State Government scheme for the same idea.
Important Note
- Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
- Applications will be evaluated by the designated Screening and Evaluation Committee.
- Decisions of the Incubator and MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) regarding selection, incubator allocation, and funding shall be final.
- Applicants must select Preference 1 and Preference 2 from the list of MSH Empanelled GENESIS incubators provided in this form.
- Final incubator allocation will be based on applicant preference, domain fit, incubator capacity, and evaluation outcomes.
