Team AIC-BIMTECH visited Jammu for a startup pitching event by Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) in Conference Hall of Jawaharlal Nehru Udyog Bhawan on 10 December, 2022. The pitch event was co chaired by Amit Singal, Founding Partner of Fluid Ventures.
This meetup allowed J&K-based startup entrepreneurs to present their venture ideas to investors and other players in the startup ecosystem for seed funding and growth prospects.
Khalid Jahangir, MD-JKTPO, discussed how JKTPO connects J&K companies to markets and investors. He added that 100+ unicorn Startups are emerging across India and J&K Startups have great growth potential.
Mr. Amit Singal, Founding Partner of Fluid Ventures, discussed his 100+ startup portfolio. He claimed many J&K residents are developing startup concepts in other metropolises. He advised entrepreneurs on pitch decks and storytelling skills. He advised founders to examine consumer behavior and market demand before launching a business. Further, Dr Abha Rishi, CEO AIC-BIMTECH shared her experience while reviewing pitches of startups.
While reviewing pitch decks, experts advised companies to create value. Each firm received specific feedback to strengthen their business model, sales and marketing strategy, client acquisition, market reach, scalability, and more to become successful. The meetup helped participating startups meet investors in person, discuss their business models, and initiate further rounds of the meeting.
