  Selection criteria for Startups under AIC

Atal Incubation Centre-BIMTECH is a kind of academia-industry- government partnership driven by Atal Innovation Mission to create high-class incubation facilities with suitable infrastructure in capital equipment and operating facilities. It is coupled with the availability of sector-wise experts for mentoring the startups to become successful entrepreneurs and enterprises. AIC-BIMTECH has its selection process for the selection of startups. They have divided the startups under three categories, namely: KHOJ, where the startups are in the preliminary stage and require comprehensive guidance of AIC, GURUKUL stage, where the startups are in the operational stage but require further advice and UDAAN, where the startups are initially established and need funding help. The selection criteria for the startups involve the following processes, which are given weight in percentage as shown below:

Khoj

-Evaluating the credibility of the idea (25%) -Evaluating the idea on the following: -Understanding the industry -The problem that they are addressing to -How unique is the solution? -The core strength of the team -Their target markets -Analyzing their competitors -Looking at the geographical location of the startup, accessible physical communication with the startup (15%) -Understanding if effective synergy can be established among the startups (20%) -The core strength of the founding team (15%)
-Analyzing the community value addition if the startup is onboard (10%) -Looking at the sales connect through their industry and partner network and check if the data can help the particular startup with the same (15%)

Gurukul

-Evaluating the credibility of the idea (25%) -Evaluating the idea on the following: -Understanding the industry -The problem that they are addressing to -How unique is the solution? -The core strength of the team -Their target markets -Analyzing their competitors -Looking at the geographical location of the startup, accessible physical communication with the startup (15%) -Understanding if effective synergy can be established among the startups (15%) -The core strength of the founding team (20%)
-Analyzing the community value addition if the startup is onboard (10%) -Looking at the sales connect through their industry and partner network and checking if the data can help the particular startup with the same (15%)

Udaan:

-Evaluating the credibility of the idea (25%) -Evaluating the idea on the following: -Understanding the industry -The problem that they are addressing to -How unique is the solution? -The core strength of the team -Their target markets -Analyzing their competitors -Looking at the geographical location of the startup, accessible physical communication with the startup (10%) -Understanding if effective synergy can be established among the startups (20%) -The core strength of the founding team (10%)
-Analyzing the community value addition if the startup is onboard (10%) -Looking at the sales connect through their industry and partner network and checking if the data can help the particular startup with the same (25%)

After evaluating the startups on the following criteria at respective stages and detailed discussion among the team members, finally, the startups are selected for incubation under AIC-BIMTECH.
